The Neighbourhood Safety Ambassador Program by Affectionate Hands is a grassroots leadership initiative that equips trusted community members—youth, parents, and elders—with the tools and knowledge to promote safety where they live. Ambassadors receive hands-on training and safety toolkits focused on emergency preparedness, conflict resolution, peer support, and local reporting systems. By transforming residents into active safety leaders within their buildings or blocks, the program builds a network of informed, vigilant, and empowered citizens working collectively to prevent harm and foster trust in their neighborhoods.
